Our Cybersecurity wing hosted a full-day Ethical Hacking 101 session that drew participants from five different departments. The event was held in CSE Lab 204, equipped with dedicated machines running Kali Linux.

  • Fundamentals of ethical hacking and penetration testing methodology
  • Network scanning with Nmap and Wireshark
  • Web vulnerability demos: SQL injection, XSS, CSRF
  • Introduction to CTF challenges and platforms
  • Defensive coding practices

Highlights

The session concluded with a mini CTF where teams competed to find flags hidden across a local practice server. The winning team solved all 8 challenges in under 40 minutes!
